I’m just sitting here, waiting for the email to come through that will give me instructions/a scenario that I will have one hour to work through and email back. This is the first step toward the new opportunity that I spoke of yesterday.
I am unreasonably nervous.
I had a dream that I received the test [...]

Let’s see, much has happened in my little corner of the world these past few days.
The Guy and I had our chat, and it was much less horrible than I expected. Actually, it was pretty much entirely painless. We’ve agreed to wait and see what the vet has to say, try different rememdies and then [...]

Had a very lovely long weekend and started back on the practice train on Thursday, putting in practices every day but Saturday. Sunday’s practice was really great. Strong, fast and bendy. Uttita Hasta Padangusthasana was blissful. I never thought I’d say that. Like so many other poses of late, it’s like that one just ‘clicked’ [...]

It’s been awhile, and mostly that’s been because I feel a little sad reading/writing ashtanga blogs when I’m not practicing. Reminds me of how much I miss it and makes me feel lazy. I have discovered, during this 9 day span sans yoga, that I do harbour a definite attachment to my practice. [...]

I have, what appears to be, an evil sinus infection.
I can’t practice because I can’t breathe through my nose and it hurts to move my head . Pounding, throbbing sinus pain.
This is bothering me more than it should. Hmph.

Yesterday’s throat twinges turned into today’s full blown cold. Consequently, I stayed home today and am currently cuddled up on the couch beside the cat, wearing comfy sweats and drinking tea.
I did a mini-practice last night when I got home from work: sun sals, last three poses of finishing. My inability to breathe through my [...]

I feel gross and useless. The Guy was sick all last week with a pretty nasty cold and I carried on and on about hwo careful I was being not to catch it, how strong my immune system must be, how the uber-hot practice on Monday night would have killed any sort of virus that [...]

TodayI’m glad not to have a morning practice. I like to think that by the time I make it to class (!) tonight, my body will have adjusted to the oh-so-cold air that met me at the door this morning. -32 Celsius (-26 Farenheit…they meet at -40). My feet are starting to thaw, but felt [...]

I actually can’t believe it’s February 1, as I feel like January and NaYoPracMo flew by. I think the past weeks have been the most important time for my practice since I was in Mysore, nearly three years ago. I’ve progressed not only physically, but also, and perhaps most importantly, I now recognize [...]
